Are you interested in preventing or treating cancer for yourself or a loved one?
What kind of care would you want for a loved one who is fighting cancer?
What can you do to help yourself or a loved one get the best possible current information about the risks and/or benefits of combining various medications with complementary therapies?
These are the questions that our team at the Canadian Integrative Cancer Centre ask every day. These questions are what motivate us to continually research and understand the available options for care for all of our patients. Our entire focus is driven by whole-person treatment options and by providing the kind of care we would want for our own family members. Here, practitioners care for you like family.
At CICC we understand that cancer doesn't just affect one part of the body or one person in a family. It affects everything in your life. We are not just treating cancer but also symptoms such as insomnia, hormone imbalances, and anxiety in the individual affected or in his/her family members as well. And we know that cancer often does not occur in isolation. Many people are also struggling with sleep concerns, hormone imbalances, appetite changes, muscle aches/pains and nerve symptoms which may be related to, or completely unrelated to cancer. We're here to work with the whole person.
Often, having a close friend or family member affected by cancer creates a desire to promote personal choices in health care to help prevent any personal experiences with chronic illness. We are here to help guide you in these healthy choices. See our "frequently asked questions" (FAQ) page for more information about this.
Our practitioners are focused on understanding your own personal needs before suggesting treatments. Whether you are working with cancer and trying to support your system through healthy nutritional choices or whether you have never had cancer and want to keep on this healthy track. Our team believes in your fundamental right to be informed about, and to choose among, the best available options for your cancer treatment/prevention. Rather than telling you what you need, your practitioners at CICC will listen to you and provide clear, well-defined options for your care.
When you visit us, we hope to offer a positive, proactive environment for you and your loved ones so you can relax and focus on either improving or maintaining your good health.
